Badab-e Surt
Badab-e Surt (Badab Surt, Badab Sort) is located 7 kilometers away from Orost Village, in the south of Sari, the capital of Mazandaran Province, and includes 12 sparkling water springs with completely different chemical properties in terms of smell, color, and taste, which are created in result of the flow of sedimentary water. The main spring, which has a very salty water and lots of minerals, is used for swimming and water treatment in order to cure rheumatism, migraine, and skin diseases. Apart from amazing and mysterious properties, Badab Surt is surrounded by dense forests and is among the spots that draws nature lovers and photographers who seek unique locations.

Best time to visit Badab-e Surt
Although this natural attraction offers splendor all year round, April is the best time to visit, as the weather and nature is at its best at this time of the year.
Getting there
It takes 8 hours to reach Badab Surt from Tehran and you can take both Sari and Semnan roads. Arriving Orost Village, you have to take a 3 kilometers a not asphalted road by a truck or 4W car and then climb a 3 kilometers mountain scenic route to see the picturesque landscape of the Badab Surt springs. For more safety, we suggest that you ask a local guide to accompany you.
